J'ai posé une question concernant la fourniture d'une BV6, ou d'un retrofit de ma boite 5.

Hello Laurent,

We don't do any work on the Caterham 6 speed gearbox even though we designed it.
So we don't stock 6 speed and parts.

The 6 speed gearbox was design by us to turn the low powered 1.4 K series engine in to a screamer.
Having 6 gear in the ratio of the normal 4 gears of a Type 9. I.e. it has no overdrive.
Bigger the engine and more power and torque less gear changes the engine need to get it up to speed, so no wasting time changing gear unnecessary.

What we specialise in is close ratio 5 speed gearboxes.
We do a number of different ratio for the type 9 gearbox which are all listed on the web site from road to race ratios.

Je continue de creuser le sujet...

Il m'a même dit qu'une boite 4 allait parfois mieux qu'une boite 5. Why not, ça dépend des circuits

Ne cherche pas midi a 14 heure surtout la ou tu creches Belles routes de montagne
Tu n'auras pas un meilleur compromis.
En 2013 j'ai traversé avec 2 amis un en 120 super light et l'autre en exige les Pyrénées d'ouest en Est avec ma boite d'origine, et je dois l'avouer j'étais a la ramasse Mais grave.
En 2014 avec les mêmes nous avons traversé les Alpes (Suisse, Italie du Nord, Autriche) mais la j'avais ma BGH et bien c'est l'exige qui était a la ramasse surtout dans la montée du STEVIO.
De toute façon c'est un compromis, à des endroits tu seras mieux que d'autres mais la différence entre la T9 Et la BGH c'est le jour et la nuit. De plus je suis loin d'être un pilote.
Il faut juste bien choisir la l'étagement, mais là encore la 1 et 2 longues et la 5 courte c'est le pied
Dommage que tu soit si loin sinon je te passerai avec plaisir mon volant
