Pas vraiment une news...elle date du 23 Novembre 2012
Dear All,
All great things must come to an end, and today is the day I say farewell to Caterham Cars. I’ve spent a truly remarkable 24 years at Caterham, and I have to say it’s been a blast! From the humble beginnings located in a port-a-cabin behind the petrol station in Caterham to the heady heights of Formula 1 and all that that implies, it’s been an honour and a pleasure to work for such a unique company and with so many committed and talented people.
I’ll be leaving Caterham cars today with a heavy heart remembering the days gone by, but also with excitement and anticipation for what undoubtedly lies ahead. And while writing this short farewell note, in a rare moment of sincerity, I’d like to thank all of you who have made this journey a truly remarkable one.
I wish everyone the greatest success with the new direction Caterham is taking and hope that all your dreams may come true.

The company that once pioneered through engineering is now driven by accountants and it won’t take them long to calculate their likely returns, or not, on the investment needed to keep the Seven in showrooms.
c'est pas gai à lire... mais c'est comme ca...

C'est triste.
Triste que rien ne parvienne à échapper à la " logique comptable ", inexorable, dont parle l'article.
Alors le côté old-school chevaleresque, l'esprit Seven, sûr que çà suffit pas à faire le poids face aux financiers tendance "tout tout de suite + le reste en prime ".
On va bientôt rouler en voitures de collection.
Mais n'est-ce pas déjà un peu le cas ?
Dommage pour tous ceux à venir qui ne savoureront pas le bonheur d'une caisse dans laquelle le plaisir commence à la vitesse légale, pourvu que la route virole un peu.
Bon, je pourrais continuer comme çà longtemps, mais à quoi bon ?
